Waterski Magazine can't say anything bad about the boats because of all the advertising dollars from the manufacturers. I also wonder why they cover all the V drives so extensively in WaterSki Magazine, when most of the V-Drives belong in their sister publication Wakeboard Magazine (same publishing company). I understand putting the SV211 in WaterSki mag, but why the SuperAir's?

I've got an '07 216 TE, and at 34 MPH, I'll free ski it at 28' off. I really can't stand 22' of at 34mph. At 15' off, I'll ski it at 30 or 32 mph. I do the slower speeds/shorter line lengths when I'm working on technique, but I most definitely prefer to ski the 216 at 28' off @ 34.
I've only attempted to run the course behind it once, however I've since learned that I can't ski behind ANY boat at 27mph. My minimum speed on any boat is 30, otherwise I sink too much.

While there are a few days here & there I'd like a smaller wake, I'll be keeping my 216 for the next 20+ years, unless I win PowerBall, then a 196, a SANTE + private lake would be on order. I like the extra room of the 216, I've got a lot of friends that like to board & surf, which isn't as easy with a 206. I'm slalom all but 2-3 days per year.

I seem to recall a similar discussion back in November too (I evidently haven't been on these boards for a few months as this is a March topic).
