I can't ever sell my 211, waay too much time and money invested. Just wanted to share the pix of this one with Grant:

We were having a discussion about good looking but somewhat unpractical boats. Lots of guys treat these boats like jewels, if I did, mine would be black. I just can't spend enough time to keep an all black boat looking as nice as needed to keep me happy, so I have a white boat.

I am looking for a second boat (maybe, wife still says no, tough to sell a second boat to a 8 months pregnant woman, economy says no too).

This boat is beautiful but it's too much boat for what I need in a second boat. I will most likely go with an early 90's Mastercraft since that's what I can find that matches my financial budget ($5k) and flat wake needs. The pre-TSC wakes are not significantly better than my unloaded 211 wake so they just don't make sense.

Mike, I have an 88 SN which I normally ski behind but also spend a lot of time behind a 90 PS 190 and don't see too much difference. I know I would never take the MC over my 88, the ride is much nicer in mine and the wakes are not THAT much different. Just my $.02

        88mars,

I gotta ask what speed and length you are skiing? I was competition skiing when these boats were new, I have a very clear recollection of the wakes being very different.

The 88SN has a larger but softer wake at 34 & 36 from 16-28off. The MC 190 has a smaller but sharper wake than the 88SN. The PS190 has a deeper trough in the center of the wake and a bit more rooster tail issue at 22off. When you slow things down to 32mph at 15off where my sister skis the difference gets more noticeable. The MC is more sensitive to weight distribution, if it is running heavy on one side it will kill the slalom wake, definately make the 88SN wake look good in comparison.

        my $0.02
