Layoffs at Correct Craft?

Word over on WakeWorld is Correct Craft just laid off 100 people this week bringing the the total to around 180 lay offs in the past few months.

Also mentioned CC is down to around 90 employees and building 5-6 boats a day. I thought they were only building boats 2-3 days a week?

Anyone have any more info on this?

CC dealers seem to have disappeared from Australia. Had one helping out with a warranty issue, now they can't be contacted.

First the dealer i bought it off now the rest

How has the economy affected you down under. Things are tuff here but we are still hanging on

The Sydney dealer was the first to go and I've lost contact with the Gold Coast (Qld)
I've had a look at "Boatpoint" where the dealers usually advertise and all their ads have been pulled.

Correct Craft couldn't have built their new factory at a worst time in my opinion. Yes its great to recapitalize etc and hopefully they had enough money to not need to take on too much debt load, but I am sure the factory set them back a good amount of money. Hopefully they will be able to keep going as GM says "a going concern".

You are a web site god Jeff! A friend says they are doing what many manufacturers have done to keep employees and the plant running - spreading out the orders. These are times that I have never witnessed and tough on everyone. ER
