Wow, 49K for a new 08 is a great deal. I have been watching the 210 market for some time and here are some of the best deals I have seen:

    New 08- 55K
    Nice 07- 39 to 42k
    Nice high hour 04- 27k
    Nice 03's 30 to 33k

The market is all over the place because owners dont even know what their boat is worth . Its was hard to find boats for sale as low as the NADA because the new numbers just came out. I have just started to see the prices fall to NADA levels. Who knows what will happen spring / summer. I guess it depends on the economy

i just saw a 08 dealer promo boat with 100 hrs for $51K. seems like they could go down to around 48K or so and it would be a pretty good deal.

no doubt.. like I said I had a guy tell me 50k on a new 08 and then said 49k the next sentence.. so I'm sure there is some wiggle room there too.. I'm not sure if the market is that bad.. or people don't like the new hull.. If I liked the new hull design I would do that in a second. So the promo might even go down more if it doesn't sell soon.

No need to name the dealer ( I know CC dealers get pisted off when we talk prices on the web) , but what states are you seeing these 08 deals? Under 50 is much better than what my dealer is offering me. are these prices without trailer?

The promo prices in that range that I have seen did not include trailer.

I think that color combo makes a difference when selling also. If you have a crazy color, you will probably have a harder time selling, than a more mainstream color. Someone will have to get a SUPER deal to drive around in a boat if they are not fond of the colors.

Thinking of this logically, I believe that once the new boats are absorbed into the market, the used prices will become firm due to demand. The manufacterers are dropping capacity and won't be flooding the market with new product and as the buying public regains confidence, the used market will pick up faster than the new due to affordability.

Used cars are already doing this in Birmingham Al. As more people look for used ones instead of pricey new cars, the values are rising. Example, a buddy of mine runs a used car lot and had 15 diesel trucks on sale in Oct, now he cant keep one and prices he is paying for them at the auction have gone up $2K this month.

Boats will probably do better than we expect this summer if gas stays at $2 or less per gallon.

i think color combo is a big part of someone's choice so obviously the crazy combo's won't sell as easily. the trailer can make a huge difference as well. the diff. in a single axel base trailer and a double axel galvanized or one with 20's is huge. being that i love music i also think that depending on your buyer having a "real" tower/amp setup will help your ease/sale value b/c you can always remove the equipment and save or sell it. gas will definitely get up above 2.00 this summer.

Good point. Dealers in my area are saying that the only money right now is in used cars. The margins are much larger and demand is greater. The only new cars that are moving are so heavily discounted that margins have all but evaporated.

I would look for inflation to take hold of the dollar sooner than later. There are already signs of inflation throughout the market. That being said, the prices (not value) of new boats will be significantly more in the future. That will also increase the $ price of used boats, but not necessarily the value (if you understand what I'm saying). Demand is weak everywhere, but as the price of new boats increases significantly, the demand and price for used boats will inevitably increase as well. However, your overall purchasing power will be decreasing every step of the way.

This 2006 196 w/215 hours didn't last long (updated 3/25/09/their home page states Deposit!!!) and was priced barely above NADA Average Retail of $27,350 (assuming its a Limited).
