Your boat will start and run with the switch not all the way up. When you hit any button on the dash it will kill the engine/ everything. I believe if you leave the switch on bilge, for instance when your parked in the water for a bit, you can start it up on bilge ( instead of run) but as soon as you hit any button on dash it kills the engine.
Have had it happen a few times. No biggie.
The bilge switch( toggle not button) is there so that if you leave ypur boat outside for a period of time, the bilge will still kick water out. if its(toggle) on off, the bilge will not work.
