    RE: Is it safe?

I fill a fat sac back there on an 06 for surfing - they even make a v-drive sac just for the Nautiques
Now - is it safe? I have yet to have an issue, maybe someone will post a different experience.

i would be more worried about a rope getting wrapped around a finger surfing than I would the fat sacs. If people are falling tell them to throw the rope. if not this may happen.

rope off of a flying tube, thicker than ski rope, with neoprene balls to hang on to. worked awesome until this happened. if you fall and the boat keeps moving and any rope is cinched around a body part, it will take it off.

I have an older version of this on my FCT. It is a line release so a spotter or driver can free you if you get tangled up. I have had one for years. No one rides without it behind my boat.

We use a fat rope, over an inch in diameter designed for surfing. I worry more about the slack getting around an ankle. Has anyone had issues with these?
