Circuit/Switch Replacement

I was wondering if anyone with the older Dash Panels with the pencil switches has ever replaced them with newer more modern switches (like the ones they have on the 2000 and up)


I'm contemplating having some carbon fiber panels made to replace the two I have circled but then that got me to thinking about possibly replacing the pencil switches for something newer looking.

Any thoughts ideas...anyone done this before?
