Do you fill ballast while moving?

I have a 2006 210 Team. I'm wondering how many with like boats fill their ballast tanks while moving at wake speed. Are there any risks? I'm not so concerned about emptying, but have yet to get a clear answer about filling.

I always fill up the ballast while I'm riding out to our spot. I simply open the valves under the driver's dash and it takes about 5-7 mins to get full. I always leave the valves open until I'm ready to empty. Oh, I have an 05 SANTE...no problems since day 1

The 03-05 uses aerator pumps with scoops and valves, the 06+ uses impeller pumps without valves. Should not really matter on the 06+ whether you are moving or not. The voltage will be a bit higher if the motor is running, it's best to have the motor charging the battery, the pumps will run faster.

I fill 'em while I'm moving too. It seems to fill them MUCH faster, which is always good. The sooner they're full, the sooner we're riding!

we fill underway in our 03, but we find the belly tank doesn't fill as well as the rear ones, as there's no scoop on the belly tank pick up.

I notice the same on mine - we fill the center for a couple of minutes before opening the valves on the rear tanks, it helps out alot with getting the center completely full

just started filling/draining while running to account for people moving around the boat while pulling a rider, no problems yet... 06 210

The overflow simply pours out the drain holes (or whatever they're called). This way they are always 100% full
