I have a 1991 ski nautique closed bow and was wondering if anybody knows the cheapest place to order new carpeting from. I am having new skins put on the seats right now and would like to replace the carpet while they are out of the boat. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: new carpet
I get boat carpeting from these guys. I have done our Mustang with this and a couple of pontoons. I like the adhesive they sell too, sticks like crazy, even on a less than desirable surface like the old adhesive on the side of the Mustang.

No. you need to get those from Correct Craft. I looked a lot of places and just ended up ordering through them. Make sure you tell them to roll it up nice and straight on like a 6 inch tube. The first order came all wadded up and was unuseable. The first batch was also old or used or whatever. Bruce at MWCC took good care of making it right after the initial shipment straight from FL.
Are you sure you cannot re-use what you have? The stuff is kind of expensive. Comes in 16ft lengths. You also need two styles. One for the sides and a different one for the floor panel in the rear.the WakeSlayer

The strips in the rear are starting to warp on me and falling apart. I could probably re-use the ones on the side, but if their not too expensive I would rather just replace them so I don't have to worry about it in the future. Thanks for all the advice, I looked up Bruce's number at M/W and talked to him, very knowledgable guy.

I hate to bump this thread, but has anyone utilized wood flooring on their boats? I know this is an odd thing, but I think it might be a great look. Carpet really shows it's wear and can have stains and odors. Is this a legitimate idea?Has anyone used Angie's List to find help with boat repair?

You might try using Sea-Dek. I know of several boats with it in place of carpet. The Billabong boat is one, and I know of one PN member who is having it installed. White Lake is also ordering a stock boat without carpet that will get Sea-Dek instead.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. njud12- check out Grant's thread on WW. He is planning on doing a fake teak floor install in a 216 DD. Some people were trying to talk him into SeaDek as well, but i think he made a good point in saying SeaDek will gouge easily and will need to be replaced in years to come, while products like the NuTeak and FlexiTeak are a much more "permanent" option. Im following this thread because I would like to do something similar to this in my boat this winter.

Thanks for the input. I have my boat in the barn now, and I've got a pretty long project list. I had just recently heard about the products above, but I have not had time to do any research! I definitely don't want to have to replace this anytime soon. A more permanent option is what I'm looking for!Has anyone used Angie's List to find help with boat repair?
