So I pulled all of the warning and danger stickers off the transom, tower, gear knob, and near each gas cap on my 210. Some might disagree with this practice but I've been boating long enough now that I don't need warning stickers.
Once I finished with all those I decided to pull the one on the dash right of the stereo remote. Bad move as the sticker is on a hard plastic plate that is stuck on with a super strong glue and heat gun. It looks to me that the silver dash panel is damaged from the heat adhesive and there is no way to remove all the glue and plastic left behind for it to look new again.
I have seen a few boats here with all the stickers and warning messages removed. That includes the dash decal as well as the two large ones near the throttle. Did those guys just replace the panels to get that look or was I just unlucky with the super strong heat glue.
My options are clean it the best I can and deal with it, replace that silver panel piece with a new one, or just get another warning decal to cover up the mess. Replacing the panel is what i prefer but not sure how much one cost and how easy it is to remove and install.
Maybe the N3 guys can chime in. Seems like they took apart and put back together a few Nautiques over in their shop.
