Weight limit sticker?

You probably already run 2000lb of ballast, so what do most people care. Most have already exceeded the max limit on the plate before they add the people in the boat.

The sticker is a Coast Guard required sticker. Law enforcement will vary by state and by patroling officer.

The coast guard sticker is required of manufacturers. In MN, and I believe TX, as already listed in another thread, only required to be attached in boats under 20 ft. That is a USCG law that the states adopted. In MN, a boat made prior to 1980 is also exempt from displaying this label.
