Laid down the Chromax graphics this evening

My new 210 came with the wrong SAN graphics so I had to remove the existing white letters and put these on. I marked the left, right, and top edges of the existing graphics with painter's tape. Used a heat gun to remove those to keep the glue on the decal when peeling up rather than on the boat. Used rubbing alcohol and warm water to clean the area and finally laid the chromax letters down using the tape markers at guides.

These chromax letters are pretty easy to apply because they can't bubble. They are very adhesive so you must get them right the first time b/c it would be difficult to reposition once they stick. One side comes in two pieces. Super Air on one and Nautique on the other.

I think these change the look the the boat quite a bit. If anyone else out there is considering these for your boat I highly recommend.

Those things are sweet. You better hope to never hit a dock.

HIT THE DOCK!! my boat doesn't ever get close to wood. besides you would scratch up the other letters hitting a dock.
Nice job Aaron the chromex looks best on dark colors. I was thinking putting them on mine but after seeing the orange
the black and chrome looks best with a lighter color.

Hitting the dock will not be an issue for me. I'd be more worried about gel coat damage than the decal in that situation anyway.

I agree the Chromax looks the best on a deeper color. I haven't seen it on orange but have on yellow. Looked great too.

You putting them on your 2003? That would look sick. Post pictures when you're done.

Looks sharp aarond0083 and much nicer than the previous white letters. Now get out there and get that thing broken in!

Awesome. Sooooo, what would ya'll think about those "chomax" letters on a '99 Super Sport outfitted like a Super Air from the factory? My only reservation at this point is that my boat does not have a lot of chrome on it....mostly powder coated black.

J2NH, just waiting for some decent weather. Wind is about 25-30 mph here in NC today. I plan to get it in the water sometime this week if weather is nice.

I think the chromax decals would look nice on just about any boat. Black and chrome go quite well together.

I am just a bit worried about being perceived as a poser and calling the boat something it is not....but really is. Oh heck, I don't know.... Sure would update the look regardless.

I wouldn't be concerned with that at all. A Super Sport with the right options is a Super Air.

                              DavidF,

No worries at all. I am planning to do something like that to mine. We (nautique nuts) are the only ones that know any different and I wouldn't think anyone here would give a rip. The average Joe Shmoe on the street (lake) will not have a clue!
