I'm using a westland cloudburst which I'm happy with on the trailor. But I need a cover solution for when the boat is moored in the marina (no boat lift I'm afraid). Any ideas anyone?

RE: Rankin only cover w/out tie down straps?
My cover is a Commercial I bought it with the the boat . It has two ratchet in the rear to tighten it below the rub rail. They also make the MC covers very good quality [Sunbrella].

Hunter - What is that thing your boat is pulling around? Do you really tow with that car? Safe? Distance? Launch? WOW

Yes that's the other one I was looking at. What gives it the tension to prevent water from pooling. Is it clips that latch on to the rubrail?

i seem to remember him posting a pic of that vehicle near that boat on the "show your rig" thread and then saying it was just parked there. i think that boat is towed with a chevy van like MyWake stated.
i can't imagine that boat wouldn't pull that black thing into the drink on a steep ramp.

I don't know. Looking at the pic the rear of the car is sagging. Also the front wheel is up on the trailer. Looks hitched to me. Maybe there is a moving deck under the "car" and he just uses it to pull in and out of the garage.

OK you caught me. I don't tow with the HHR the only reason I have a hitch on it is to prevent people hitting my bumper when parking in Chicago. I posed the HHR for a different thread as a joke it was the only pic I had with
the cover on. I tow with a 2001 GMC van.
