Side netting on '01 Sport ???

Is there a netting kit available for the Sport? Or maybe a better question would be....what do you do with all that room on the sides (gunnells)?
I've noticed the BU's have ton's of netting on theirs, and its nice place to store wet preservers, towels, etc.

Also, along these lines, is there a source or listing of factory options and/or retail pricing?

They do make them but they cost about 74 bucks for each side. My bet is to go to your local junkyard and get some out of a totaled car!

I would get a netting to cover the bed of a pick-up (places like walmart sell them for about $20 - $30), and cut it into the size you want, then use stainless hog rings to re-shape and secure the cut ends. Then make some nice rope loops that are also hog ringed to the cargo netting to make a nice place for it to be secured to the boat. You might even get as fancy as sewing a strip of 1" webbing along the sides to make a net.

I have a 94 Sport Nautique and wanted side nets. I was able to find netting at Autozone for $15 each side. It fits very well. Almost perfect. The exact product is here:

              http://www.highlandusa.com/product.a...template_id=10

Both Autozones I went to each stocked ONE net. So plan to visit two stores if you want to do each side.

I screwed the mounts into the back of the sidewall for 3 mounts and one on the floor on the passenger side.

If anyone wants picts let me know and I will take them.

The bottom of the netting is pretty secure, but I may make a small wood bar to go along the bottom to attach the net to as a winter project.
