Tower mirror bracket

One of my guys in the shop cooked this up in the AM. He knows I have a 206 and was bored so he drew this up and roughed one out. I know it is a similar design to some products out there, but how different can you make a bracket? If anyone has some constuctive feedback let it fly, I will make a few if anyone wants to test it out. These are not for sale, just for fun.

I'd be willing to test one out if you could get it made to 1-5/8"

as for constructive feedback, how about a threaded rod sticking out the end so that the typical mirror can be mounted?

If you are going to make them with a CNC mill, maybe put "Nautique" in the center cut out....I would be willing to test.

There will be a 3/4 rod attached to the end via the two 1/4 inch holes. I am figuring out how long the whole assembly should be. I was thinking about cutting an N in the center or doing some sort of ingraving on the mill.
When Gar comes in tomorrow I will have him render a new drawing and post it. They can either be polished , powder coated or anodized we do all three. The anodize is not bright like the towers, it could be a MIL spec black ano also.

are those small holes for set screws or will the rod be bolted on to the back/front?

Half of the bar will be milled flat and then it will mounted to one side of the bracket.

That looks awesome. I would love to test one out on my FCT (Gen I, 1-5/8"). If you decide to manufacturer these for sale, get CC's permission to use the "N" or Nautique, or you could open yourself up for litigation. Almost forgot, powder coated black would my preference.

mirror bracket

I think the best mirror out there is the CIPA adjustable 3 piece mirror. Why not figure out how to make a bracket to attach this mirror.

The bracket looks great, I second the "N" or nautique engraved on the middle. I'd also love to test one out and give you more personal feedback from that standpoint.

Maybe a mount that is adjustable to different size towers, or is that already incorporated into that one?

The N is a good idea, as well as any other personalize engraving. You could have something here. I'd also like to test one out, let me know, I send ship $$ and whatever else.

I think you will really have to hone in on the angle of the mirror depending on where it is mounted on the tower. I have been in a couple boats that when you looked in the mirror everything was crooked because the mirror angle was wrong.

Be careful using Nautique logos on things that you plan to sell. You can get into trouble doing that...

The mirror arm that comes on the Titan tower is the best one I've ever seen btw. Perfect in every way.
