211 Wake Compared to Old 210?

Could someone chime in on how the 211 compares to the old 210 for wakeboarding? How much weight does it take to get a good wake out of the 211? Does it have as much vert (please post pics if you have them)? Any info would be appreciated.

I can't compare the 211 to the old 210, cuz I don't know, but the 211 wake has a lot of pop to it!

I have an 03 210 and my buddy has an 07 211. Over the past year we have really done very little wakeboarding and do mostly surfing, but I can tell you my impressions of the different wakes. It's pretty well established that the 210 throws out a steep wake and my boat is no different. The 211 wake is a bit more mellow and isn't quite as vertical as the 210, but still a great wake.

Not the same at all. The old 210 is really steep and the 211 has a long transition. With some weight you can get a little lip, but it isn't the same at all. The 211 is meant to be able to ski and wake....the 210 is meant to wakeboard, so you have to compromise on the wake a little bit in the 211

Forgot to add that the 211 was weighted with all tanks loaded and a crew of 4-5 people. Even without the additional crew, the 211 wake with just the ballast tanks loaded was great.

I have to agree with Crowmobe540. My buddy had a 06 211 for a summer, and sold it to get a 220 for a steeper wake. Its a great boat, but the hull is a compromise for two different sports. If you are a wakeboarder get a 210!

Serious competition wakeboarders aren't very thrilled with our 211 though they're more than happy to spend time behind it when it's the only or best available option. Recreational wakeboarders all seem happy with it. I'd love to have a 210 and a 196, but that ain't in the cards so a 211 it is for us.
