State Farm allows me to do a stated value on both of our boats. I do not feel I would have an issue with them as I never have with other claims. I had my 90 SN rockpiled years ago and they wrote me a check in 48 hours. However, they are very expensive.
I tried to get a quote from SkiSafe a couple weeks ago. They would only insure my SAN for 23k, which in my opinion is low. They also refused to insure our 68 Mustang due to the age of the craft.

After seeing how State Farm is handling this claim I don't think I wound take a chance with them.
You never know how good your insurance Co. is until you have a claim.

Well, as I said, I have had good experiences, including with a boat. I met with my agent a couple weeks ago, and described this situation to him without knowing it was State Farm, he said there is no way possible that this would happen with him involved. Being we are in the land of 10000 lakes, there are tons of boat claims every year, and he goes through his share. He was 100% on this.

Just saying, not trying to start another insurance debate.

But, that is what I feel the value of the boat should be given the purchase price and improvement/work I have put into it and the trailer. Stated policies are the way to go IMHO.
Is this new David? I have USAA and they haven't notified me. Still have my boat insurance with them.

Yes, this is new. If you have/had your boat insured with USAA before the change, then your boat policy stays with USAA. So, nothing changes for you. But, if you want a new policy (like for a recently acquired boat), then you will be insured by Progressive.

Interesting thread to say the least. I know for a fact that there is a master code for all Nautiques. I forgot my code and took it to the dealer and he was able to fire it right up. Any more news on his boat? I would like to see how this story ends.

Finally this ordeal is over..... State Farm paid me off yesterday the only thing they would not pay for is the trailer so I am stuck with my trailer. Its not a bad thing my trailer is a Ramiln and is in very good shape.

So who have a 206 or 216 for sale? I have cash Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Went today and insured the new boat with State Farm again. I was talking to my agent about why it took so long to settle. He told me that someone who read this post called State Farm and told them about this thread. Thanks to whom ever did that it just proved I had nothing to hide.
