Not that it really adds much to the thread at this point, seeing as how we know it's not an 81 SN, but..... Not all 81s had the 351W. I've got one of the few with the chevy 350. Just an FYI.

because someone pulled the ford and added a bowtie in it place bet it's left hand rotation as well.

After going and doing some research (Got my PCM Service manual out), I do have a right hand rotating engine. For some reason I was thinking when looking at the engine's front, if it rotated ccw it was standard (probably from working on airplanes too long!).
I stand corrected.

As you probably figured out, the LH vs. RH marine convention is taken with respect to the rotation as viewed from the REAR of the engine- not the front.1990 Ski Nautique
