RE: New Skins from christines...need foundations.....HELP!!!
I would think that any HDPE plastic would work as long as it was thick enough. I would search for a supplier for a sheet of it, but I bet it will be expensive!2001 Super Air Nautique

The newer boats (at least my 99) uses a product called "starboard" for what you are talking about. You can find it and cut your own (probably with a router), but I do not think it is cheap.
Scott, when you get ready to do the upholstery work, look me and DavidF up. We both just went through this and have some tips (well... I'm almost done anyway, DavidF is done). Now

Yep, "starboard" is what I would use. I believe it costs somewhere around $8 to $9 per square foot. The trick will be how to heat and bend the board to match original (such as stern seat cushions on my '99 NSS).
SGIND: What boat do you have? I am also surprised that all the seat "boards" are not plastic already. Do you have any "bent" cushions currently?
