    RE: company name confusion

I am guessing it is more about keeping the original brand Corp name Correct Craft (history) - need to use it or loose if from the trade mark office.

      RE: company name confusion

To me, our boats are Correct Crafts first, nautiques second. I think it important to keep the Correct Craft to preserve the history of the brand the many non-Nautiques (CC) still on the water.

I try to keep thinking that. But it keeps getting harder. I do not recall too many times recently where they did not call themselves "Nautique". I know all my boats are Correct Crafts, but I hesitate to say that about the new ones. They are just Nautiques to me. I feel like the history, pride, and nostalgia of what Correct Craft meant, is largely gone. A lot of people will argue that point and not like that I say that, but that is what I think.
There was a thread on the other site a little while ago about resurrecting some of the old boats as a lower price point alternative for people to be able to get into a boat without spending 60-80k. Some one was asking what you would call them. Another suggested to call the Correct Crafts. I found that humorous, ironic, and a bit sad, cause it will never happen. But a brilliant idea.

That said, I love my boats and would never own anything different. New or old.

Another reason that they keep the Nautiques by Correct Craft is that in many european countries nautique translates as water, I know that in France boat owners refer to there Nautiques as a Correct and Mastercrafts as Masters.

same in NH - the DMV puts "CORR" on the registration. Lots of brands of boats go in as MISC which is such a slap in the face to the owner... "your boat brand is so obscure that you don't get a code in our system" haha
How 'bout a little reverse action...

I'm in my 40s and Correct Craft has been making boats since my Grandparents were children - and I hope will be making boats long after I'm gone. They may currently only have Nautique models but this is very recent considering their history. Who knows what the next 80 plus years will bring. A new 18 or 19' price-point Atom Skier or Mustang? Another 38' San Juan or 42' Sport Fiserman to sail to Havana when it reopens for business (as it was for over 30 years of Correct Craft production)? How about a Jet Ski (just kidding)? Should be fun to see what the future brings for Correct Craft.

I call my boat an Air 206.

I expect everyone "in the know" to know what that means. If they don't know, it probably doesn't matter.

Doesn't it set in Orlando in the lobby? I don't know, just asking. There are a few old CC at the plant.
