Go With Air 216 or Pro Air???

Here are my 2cents. Had a 211, have a 216. If you can swing it, a 07 (prefer) or 08 210 at 34MPH has a good skiing wake. The 07 has a pylon so the pull is a little better for the driver.

The 216 is the best all around boat. Lots of rooms for a full day on the lake.

The 211 is an OK boat in my opinion. Good room and does average.

NO Pro Air!!

If you like to ski then 216 is the choice, it is easy to add weight for wake boarding but if you buy a boat that has too big a wake for skiing, then you have real problems.

I had a 99 sport and I now have a 07 Air 216. LOVED both boats and I am very satisfied with the skiing and the wakeboarding of both. However, I think in the future, I will need to add some additional ballast for wakeboarding and surfing. But for now, the 216 suits us perfectly.

With that said.....when we were looking last year, I may have gone with a 211 if I hadn't had major concerns with a tower mounted boom. We use the boom roughtly 60% of the time our boat is running. We barefoot some...but, we use it to train new skiers & wakeboarder....and we use it for small kids all the time. So, the tower boom's lack of adjustment, really concerned us.

I have tested the 211 and I think it's a very very good boat. And the sking is OK...but we are not hardcore skiers. I thought that at 34 mph, the wake was pretty hard, but if I was on edge "correctly" then i sliced thru it ok. My wife slalom's around 30 and she was also OK with the wake....but not overly thrilled. But, the boat's room and layout was a real plus. Again, the boom issues pushed us back to the 216 and we are thrilled with our selection.
