I'm looking at these two boats.. They are both 05 210 TE.. located in the same area and pricing is pretty close. White has 250 hrs and the black only has 125hrs. The white has a little nicer stereo, but I like the look of the black and the low hrs. The black has a sub and tower speakers too all aftermarket.. The only thing I'm worried about is the black hull maintenance. What are your guys thoughts? Thanks

RE: Black Vs. White
The same dirt and water spots get on both, the white hides it longer the black will look bad faster unless its cleaned.
A dark color forces you to keep it clean or look like crap.
The question I have for you is how do you maintain your boat? Is it kept outside,in the water ,on a lift?
How often do you clean your boat now? Most CC owners are pretty anal about their boat are you?
If you are get the black with less hours that 100 hours is two years of use. Wipe it down with 25% white vinegar and wax
every 3-4 weeks you will be fine

I hope to be able to fit the boat in my garage.. It is 22X22. If not, I will knock a hole in my fence and make something for it to fit outside. I wipe down after every use with water and vinegar, so I don't mind that. I like my things to be nice and look clean, but I don't want to spend hrs every wk outside the lake detailing the boat.
And correction.. the black boat has about 160 hrs.. almost a 100 less then the white.

pull the platform and fold the trailer and you will fit as long as your height does not get you - cranking the jack down will gain you a couple of inches after tower is folded2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

Ideal303, I already answered your PM before I saw this, but in the end it's your decision. Get what makes you happy, but I vote black. Like I said, if you can't keep it under cover when not in use it will show oxidation much faster than the white. If that trailer doesn't have a break away tongue than you will have no hope of getting it in that 22' garage. Even with and break away it will be a very tight fit. If you can't keep the boat in a garage just make sure you get a good quality cover that covers the sides of the boat too and that will cut down your waxing duties. Of couse this will be true if you have a lighter colored hull too.Jason

Or maybe I'm between the two boats and like them both equally. If one stood out to me as better then the other right away, my decision would be made... Ultimately they are both great boats and I'm sure I will be happy with either one but it never hurts to get a little outside reasoning or opinion.
Call me crazy but maybe talking to people that have had experience with both hull colors could give me a little more info and understanding in my decision making process. I guess there are just somethings you will never understand, but thanks for your two cents.
To all the helpful and constructive responders, Thank you.

Black is not bad at all, if you are anal IMHO. I am completely anal about my 08' SAN 210, and it isn't as bad as you might think. At the beginning of the season I do a complete detail of the entire boat before I even think about putting it in the water. When I detail it, I first wash it, inside and out, clean the interior, tower speakers, and tower itself and then I buff the gel with a Porter Cable 7424 (? right number) orbital polisher and professional polish. I then wax everything, from the outside, to inside gel on the interior, to the tower and tower speakers. Then the rest of the summer I wash the boat every two weeks, and wax it once a month.
The biggest thing to remember is to quick detail the boat after every outing, before leaving the lake. This will prevent any water spots from sitting too long and it will prevent the lake funk from staining the gel. The wax helps but the lake funk will still find a way to settle on the gel if you are not careful.
Like I said, I am completely anal when it comes to my boat, but it is really not that bad. To me it is standard maintenance that I would do no matter what color my boat was. I will post a picture tomorrow to show you what I am talking about and you will see what I mean.
PS - Something to remember with the black boat...never drive the boat on the trailer...always float it on if possible. If you don't the hull scratches will haunt you forever...lol.
