    Nautique Demo Program

Can someone describe to me the Correct Craft "Demo" program? I think I understand the basics, buying a boat each year that is sold at the end of the season so the following year another boat can be purchased. The part I am interested in are the requirements to participate in the program and how to get enrolled.

    Thanks.

    RE: Nautique Demo Program

You're talking the Promo program. You buy a boat and then get credits for each tournament round pulled towards the purchase price of the next year's boat. The last two years the promo team members have lost their asses on their boats, though, as they couldn't sell them for what they had in them. There are typically 2-3 promo boats in each geographic tournament area. In the past, getting on the promo team was about as easy as flying to the moon. A lot of people had been members for upwards of 20 years. But a lot of promo members aren't back for 09 due to the issues of selling the boats and taking losses. MS could probably point you to the right person as he's a promo team member.

My buddy would get a new promo boat every year.. he also would win worlds for senior amateur devision, teaches a wake school and traveled somewhere with it just about every weekend.. he hasn't been able to get one the last few years even though he just won worlds again and the year before I believe. I think its pretty hard to get a promo boat these days.
