    Underwater LED's - Pic's

To begin with, I guess my camera hates night shots, because these are the worst pic's I've ever taken. But, I still wanted to give you guys an idea of what they look like for those who are considering. I installed two Bullet Lines X6000's. The pic's were taken on Cedar Creek Lake in a shallow, muddy bottom area of my buddy's cove. I'm sure the light would project much further out in better water, but they look decent. Ken at BL advised that 3 lights would project the best light out, but I opted for 2 to start with to help my wallet out. I think the addition of one more light in the middle would help a lot.

      RE: Underwater LED

I just ordered a pair of Blue X8000's (750 lumens each) - Looking to install them this weekend.
How large was the center hole you needed to drill? There were three small mounting holes as well?
What type of sealant did you use? I'm sure a lot of this is spelled out in the install directions, I was just
wanting to get anything I needed beforehand. Thanks for the pics - looks good

I had someone else install them, but I did check them out when I got them in the mail. The hole is around a 1/4" or smaller, just enough to get the wire through the hull. Yes, on the X6000's there are three mounting holes, but not sure if that is the same for the X8000's.

I'll try and get some more pic's with a camera that takes better night shots. Definitely post some once you get them installed AuMDLST. I'm anxious to see the difference in the X6000's and X8000's.

If those are the ones from Bullet Lights it's very easy to install and not worth paying someone to do it. We installed them on our '08 210 in about an hour. It just takes a gut check to drill into your boat!

Drill a 1/2" hole about a 1/4" deep (measure a 1/4" on the bit and put some tape on it as a mark), put some take on the hull and then drill... drill very slow...
Then drill a 3/8" hole in the center of the 1/2" hole through the hull. Coat the wire with some 4200, not 5200, and feed it through.
The three hole for the screws I think were 5/16" and you drill them about 1/2" deep.

Below are some pictures... and sorry for the poor quality, cell phone pics...

Grant and I did some comparison testing of a few different LEDs on the market. Here are the results.

The only issue on that breakdown/spreadsheet is Bulletlines decided to jack his price up on the X8000s after he got some exposure. I was ready to buy a two of them but not since he went up $100 each in just a few days. You guys posting pictures are not helping either. These threads are costing me money......

Buy the Baller #3's from Robert. I could tell no difference between the Bullet 's and the Ballers.
