    Who's 230 on a long haul?

We left Houston Monday afternoon heading to Schlitterbahn for some waterpark fun ...and as soon as we pulled on to I10 west, we saw a 230 shrink wrapped in tow. The bottom was white...couldn't see the rest. Tower was folded forward.

Trailer plates and the tow vehicle both had Georgia plates...I think from Butts county.

I didn't realize those boats were so dang big....gunnels are huge.

Anybody have a 230 in transport or getting ready to take delivery?

6 mpg? Mind me asking what vehicle? I thought mine was bad at 10-12.

V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. 6mpg was the average over the 2000 (ish) miles from SD to Wisco. pulling up through the mountains is what killed it I think. there were some places where we were getting gas every 2-3 hours, I wasn't sure we were gonna make it to the next fill up. Fun trip though. We stopped in Las Vegas. even only stopping for a few hours that city is FUN!

We pulled my 206 1050 miles at 70 mph with my wife's 99 Navigator from FL to TX in the heat of August.

I turned off the overdrive ... the high engine speed coupled with low A/C refrigerant burnt up the clutch in Lafayette...so no A/C after that.

The computer said we were getting 12 mpg. When I did the math at the end of the trip, I calculated 10.5 mpg.

When my wife got in the boat she found an old rivet on the floor. I knew I would have seen that at the dealer. I took a closer look and one of the rivets from the A/C clutch got thrown out from the engine compartment and sucked by the draft up into the boat. - Amazing.
