my trailer is in the shop and my boat is in its lift but one problem im going to get hit by a hurricane.. when the power goes out im going to get drunk and wacth my boat and prey

By the way, a good source mentioned to me the other day that if you have your boat on a trailer during a hurricane, you should hook the trailer up to your tow vehicle during the storm. That way, if anything happens to the boat, your auto insurance pays for it. I know this doesn't apply to you in this situation since your trailer is in the shop, but it is good information to know.

Hang tight! I have been monitoring Huricane Charley the past 2 days for my company and things got really hairy today when it jumped from cat 2 to cat 4!

Hopefully it will lose some of its strength by the time it hits you in Satsuma.

Hope you made it thru ok. Hurricame made an awsome weekend for us is SC. No boats on the water, a few showers. very cloudy. a little cool, so we used the heater and wakeboarded all day. I am sore, the kids are tired and we will all sleep good tonight. We don't let a little rain stop us. We saw one x-7 out with us. Yesterday one Moomba.

Also, watching the HD NBC broadcast, my kids quickly noticed an air Nautique in Greece. They are so proud of that boat. Any way, We have no trailer and if we had a direct hit on Charlotte, I would be sweating and drinking it out just like you. So good luck.

I was about 20 miles south of Satsuma Friday night as Charlie moved through -- about 30 minutes of strong winds and rain and not much else. I left my boat in Jacksonville thinking that it would be safer; I was pretty irritated when I woke up to blue skies and flat water on the St. Johns on Saturday. I'd be willing to bet 1time 17 felt pretty relieved, lowered his boat and went out for a great day of riding -- I just wish I could have done the same!

As for the comment above:

It is inaccurate in the sense that auto insurance covers the boat. Under no circumstances does auto coverage take care of physical damage to watercraft being towed. Auto policies cover liability of the tow vehicle and whatever is being towed. That means that damage to a boat you tow is not covered, but damage your boat does to other vehicles is covered by the auto liability policy.

Hope this helps get the clarity in the coverage.

Funny you should mention that today. I run the network for Travelers Insurance, and I asked one of the salespeople today whether or not the information I had gotten about this was accurate. He told me almost exactly to the word what you just wrote. I (and my "good source") stand corrected. Thanks for clearing that up.
