Bring Back the Original SAN 210!!

So who all is with me for Nautique bringing back the original SAN 210 mold. Better yet, package it as a price point for about $39k (to compete with the X1 and Vride). I mean, how many people can actually afford a $65k 230? I know I can't.

Dealer MSRP on a few I noticed were close to $100k.

I would love a new 210 for $39k.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own a new 210 but there is no way I can justify the price.

Good debate, so lets look at the comparison:
*$3500 in 1968 is equal to $21,500 in 2009.
*MSRP on a mid-level 2010 Camaro is around $24,000, roughly in-line with inflation.
*A 1999 SAN listed at $36,700.
*That same $36,700 in 1999 is worth $46,795 today.
*However, list on a 2009 210 is somewhere in the neighborhood of $72,000

Draw your own conclusions. I need another beer.

A Super Air for under $40??? I'm sure it would be nice for some people, but the 210 is a legend and would lose all the prestige falling into the budget boat category. Nautique just needs to make a new line with cheaper parts and try to imitate the old hull.

In 1968 you could by a loaded camaro with a 396 for $3500. A loaded v8 camaro today is over 40k
A better comparison would be a 210 SANTE to a cadillac escalade or CTS both top of the line for the manufacturer.

I love the new 210's, but they are a totally different boat. I do not see a reason to not make an entry level boarding boat, minimal options, and sell it for an affordable cost. They need to do something to get sales volume up and keep the name on the water. $100k boats is not going to do it. I do not see why it would lose any prestige since the Super Air list prices started in that range. They don't NEED to charge a million dollars a boat. They simply could for a while. The ride is over.

Boat's are outrageously expensive. I was going to purchase a new one and quickly changed my mind after realizing what is was going to cost. I purchased this package in 2004 for $92K(60K truck, 32K 01 SAN). Today this same package would cost $130K. I also think the wake behind the 01 hull is better than todays hull.

Please dont bring back the old 210, it will kill the resale value of mine. I cant tell you how many people approach me and ask if I want to sell mine 04. I tell them no thank you. I though about selling it 2 years ago (wife was not well)but my local dealer talked me out of it. I was told how much the new 210's were, it was shocked. I do like the idea of a price point boat just not a correct craft price point boat.

CC lost me as a future customer when they canned the old hull. You don't stop producing your best performing wake boat because it isn't family friendly and that's exactly what they did. Sacrificed performance for comfort. Now their boats are just like everyboady else's. Ginormous, wide, fat, tons of freeboard and take 10,000 pounds of ballast to produce a decent wake. Bad choice CC.

CC does have a price point boat, it is the 211. Looking at the catalog you can only get a signature addition. Bring it back would kill the price of my 2008 210.
