No....no no.....marketing would have been unveiling the thing at the 50th Masters a month ago. That would have been the bomb. That boys would have been marketing.

I'd be very curious to know why they didn't do that. Jeff? I certainly hope the "we weren't ready" isn't the excuse. Everyone knew the 50th Masters was coming for 49 years.
I'm not saying they should have used it as the towboat for this year (because of the unfamiliarity), but man, what other event in the world would have pulled together that many perspective customers at one time? They could have dropped a revealing curtain and had R & D guys there to answer some quesitons, had one 200 sitting in the water, etc. If anyting it probably would have expedited the ordering process on alot of 200's in a sagging economy and prevented alot of repetitve questions to dealers.
Opportunities like that don't come along that often. We all know seeing is believing in buying a boat. It could have been the perfect storm.Current Boat: 2007 Super Air Nautique 220 Team Edition

If you had been at the 50th Masters, you'd know just how fitting your PERFECT STORM comment is! It rained pretty much the whole time.
I don't know for sure, but seeing as the 50th Masters was about a month before they released the video, I would bet that in fact the boat really wasn't ready yet. I think rushing the release before the boat was ready would have been a bad idea. If things had worked out to where they could have done that, it would have been great though.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. - close enough to the lake to be able to run in and grab a beer, but far enough not to pay the taxes!!
I have a few friends that run in the Big Dawg series - When they saw the SN 200 they commented that they cant wait to ride behind the boat GET ADJUSTED to the new wake shape and spray. I think that is why the SK 200 was not at Masters - the PRos need to ride behind it - practice. The same thing for Zero Off vs Perfect Pass - heard some guys saying they needed to used to Zero Off for the tournaments, they could feel a difference between the the to. I am a novice so I dont feel a difference
