In today's world where it seems like companies are just trying to hang on, Correct Craft has really stepped up for the new Ski. I'm sure they will be releasing photos / info on the boat over the next few days....and if not, I'll see what I can get. It truly is going to be worth the wait. Also saw a video of Parrish running 41 off behind it that Andy had shot while some people were there. One thing that jumped out also....much smoother transitions behind the boat. Also at slower speeds much cleaner wake for juniors. Lots of room inside it...and the drivers console....well, I'll wait till they send the photos. You will not believe how they have implemented so many things that "seem obvious", that no one has ever done before. WOW.....They are going to sell alot of these this year!! CLOSED and OPEN Bow. Same platform...same record capabilities.... Stay tuned.
PS: The new metalflake is really rich too...

Now John, you are an MC man anyway. Don't go hating!
But I'm a fan off all the inboards which is why I'm hanging around here a bit. 8-)
You'll never hear me say a bad word about CC.

Anyone know how many 196's are sold in an average year? How many 206's? Just out of curiosity.
I'll bet that CC has lost some sales by not having thier best slalom tug available in an open bow. (Not sure if they have lost enough to justify r&d on a new hull)
If they can achieve the 196 wake in an OB, (especially with a cb option) it seems like win/ win.

IMO we won't be seeing this boat until August. The R&D room only opens with a finger print. I have talked to a person who has skied behind it and said it is better then anything they have built. Not sure that is possible!!!
Personally I'm wondering what the line up is going to look like. DD216 still going to make the cut. That hull is 5 years old!
Will the 206 and whatever 196 (new name) become a liner boat? hope not, but seems to be a trend.
I don't look for any major changes to the
210
226 (new already)
230
will the 220 make it with the new 210 and better wake?
will the 211 still be a PRICE boat?

This is what I would like to see Correct Craft do.
Keep:
SN 196
SN 200 OB
SN 200 CB
SN 206
SN 216 DD
To me dumping the 196 is like Ford saying they are discontinuing the F-150 and making a new F-200, little bigger and more options, has a 2 door and 4 door option, (like open bow closed bow). Isn't the F-150 the best selling Ford truck?, Isn't the 196 the best selling CC ski boat? Why make a new model, just modify the current one.
A side note, I understand that making open and closed bows out of the same hull is more efficient, but it is cheap, kind of says R and D is slacking off. (Then they look like Master Craft)
That is my opinion.1997 Ski Nautique

I was told that there is no more 196 in 2010. The 200 will be the only SKI in OB or CB option. The word at the Big Dawg was that it is a really sweet pull and no wakes at any line.Life long Nautique guy
Will ski anytime.

Hey Ati_Dude,
Don't be blue......know that you've got the world's greatest slalom skier coming to save the day!! Their mission....take an amazing boat.....and totally reinvent it to make it even better on all levels. New Design, New Production capabilities, New Minds and Vision for the boat and clean slate to make the best slalom boat they can. Obviously this will be up to you all to agree / disagree with, but from what I've seen for the new boat and additional direction for it in the future.....there will be ALOT of families with the new 200 Ski Nautique....open bow or closed bow. Look for more information soon...INCLUDING Photos and video. A new look....new vision and new focus...... Slalom skiers will have a two totally new models that you will like!
