    2002 SAN 210 Question

    Hi

There is a 2002 SAN 210 on the market (here in europe). The price i now going to a range where is could be a deal for me (around 36k $, well they are expensive here, its the cheapest on the market now).

Its a black one, i think the Team Edition you can see in the 2002 Brocuhres.

What makes me a little bit worry is the hrs on the engine together with the age. The Boat has 1300hrs, the engine is a Pro Boss GT 40.

Are there any statistic around about how many hrs a GT40 runs before you get the expensive problems?

    Cheers, KTM525

P.S. It has, PP, Ballast, CD Stereo with 6 Speakers, Bimini, Heater and Cover.

    RE: 2002 SAN 210 Question

I have heard of them having as much as 2000 hrs before a rebuild. As a rule of thumb, I have always heard ~1500 is the rebuild point. In actuality, it depends on the care and luck. Just like with car engines, some only go 100,000 miles and some go 300,000. You can get a compression test to verify the engine. Hope this helps.

I agree the compression test will tell a lot. also look at the interior itself. I've always found that if an owner doesn't take care of that, they tend to neglect under the hood. Original owner or several? Service records are always nice too.
