    02 sante wakesurf weighing

Hey! Still trying to figure out everyhting about the 02 sante I bought recently and can't seem to find a proper way to weigh it down for wakesurfing. What do you guys who have the same hull do?

On the other hand I can't seem to be able to find a way that's not fantastic for wakeboard... God I love that boat!!!

    RE: 02 sante wakesurf weighing

Off the top of my head this is what I run in my 99:

650 sac riders side rear locker
400 sac in the center locker
400 under the riders side seat
400 sac on the riders side seat
    200 in the bow
    150 in the walkthru

I also have a couple hundred lbs of extra motor weight.

This is close to what most have. Other will share their recipe, too.
I could add more weight, but this is also still fairly maneuverable with this weight.

      02 sante here-

riders side locker hard tank full
      riders side locker bag (350#)
riders side on top of rear bench bag (350#)
      center hard tank full
riders side next to the driver bag (350#)
bow sac (V shaped) half full (500#)

throws a pretty solide surf wake!

Our 1997 Super Sport and 2000 Super Air... Just standard ballast and even with just the driver we could wakesurf (then we need to empty ballast on port side). With a couple of persons in the corner the wake gets bigger (all 3 tanks then filled).

WOW! Sounds like I enormously underestimated how much weight I need to put on. Can't wait to try that now!!!

          Thanks

You don't need all that weight, but you will want it. The wave these boats put out just gets bigger and longer the more you add.

BTW I can't find exactly how much weight the stock hard ballasts amount to, I figure it's gotta be near 300 pounds each but can't find the exact info anywhere, not even in the owner manual. Surely someone here knows that!

The above link says the rears hold 520 (combined, I'd guess) plus 300 in the center.

                  650 Riders Rear locker
                  600 bow
                  650 ski locker
                  PP set to 9.7

A little less weight in the rear locker lengthens the wake a little

I took the port ballast tank out of my 03 SAN a couple of weeks ago to replace the bilge blower and the tanks have the weight info molded in. Mine say 262 lbs. each on the rear - no idea on the center but 300 lbs. sounds correct.

2002 Sante, 3 people (preferably large guys) one in the driver seat (or sitting on the side) one on the sun deck and one in the bow. Rider side tank and belly tank. I've found the more weight you put towards the front the longer and cleaner the wake is. It seems like you would have to overload the boat to get the 'best' wake.

4X 350 Launch pad bags lined up (rear locker on top of hardtank ,rear bench ,midship bench and bow)
                          stock locker hard tank
                          belly tank

I am having trouble finding a good wake with my 99 NSS. wake is washed out with both rear tanks full. Seems I might need to add a bag in the ski locker...any thoughts? Budget does not allow to many other options at the moment.

David are you talking about a wakeboard wake or a wakesurf wake? as you probably know, you need to have the boat shifted to one side in oder to get a clean surf wake. you can get a killer setup for under 400$ if you're willing to put up with 12V pumps (tsunami, launch pad etc)
