Does anybody have a update cable that they would consider renting? My local dealer doesn't have one, and probably wont get one. I just couldn't bring myself to pay $220 for the cable...
IMO this should be a requirement of being a dealer. A dealer who is not willing to spend this small amount of money to provide updates to their customers does not deserve your business nor do they deserve to be able to hang the Nautique emblem on their store.
On another note, I am extremely disappointed in ZO and CC requiring this cable to begin with. Nearly every electronics device in the world mfr'd in the last 10 years updates via either ethernet or USB - either a $5 cable. In my case my camera, dive watch, workout computer, bike computer, GPS, cellphone, ipod, and even our new washer, dryer, and oven (Miele) are updated with a $5 USB cable. All 3 of our cars diags are USB. It blows me away that the latest and greatest electronics CC chose to put in their boats requires an antiquated and expensive method of updating.

heard u can send the gauge (i.e. offseason) to Zero Off & they'll update it. or find another dealer w. the cable who might do it. i would expect to pay them something for their time. it goes against the grain to pay something, but it'll "get 'er done"!

I was going to buy the cable but luckily did some checking first and found a ski club with a cable and someone who could do it for me. You might find out who the local promo boat owners are (this is what I did). Good luck!
I assume the washer/dryer are for bug fixes. The oven is kinda cool because you can download recipes. It'd probably be faster to just input all of the parameters manually, but still kinda cool. One thing I wished they'd done is given it a capability to update it's clock via wifi or ethernet. That'd be more useful. Me thinks ZO does beat my oven on this feature anyway. :-)
