    Trailering with the Tower Down

Last weekend I was feeling particularly relaxed out on the lake and decided to actually read the red warning sticker on the tower of my 2007 220 TE. This sticker had various warnings about towing from the tow point, and then one very surprising statement: Tow with the tower down.

Anyone ever do this? If so, what methods have you used to protect the bow area from impact/abrasion?

My dealer repaired some stress cracks around the aft tower mount points for me last winter, and I am wondering if these cracks are related to towing with the tower up.

    Thoughts?

We never take our tower down. There is more force / stress on the tower when you are pulling someone then when it's being towed. Those warnings are on there for legal reasons one would think for those people who do tow with their tower up and hit low bridges that may try and sue CC.
