1983 Ski Nautique Restoration

What up fellows,
I just bought a 1983 ski Nautique. Every thing is running well, however, there are a few things that I would like to tweek. The chrome covers around the speedometers are pitted. I would like to get new ones but know where to search. The Tac. is working but is clearly not reading the right RPM.

Your out of luck on the speedos. That company went out of business long ago. You can disassemble them yourself and have them rechromed bt be very careful. The tach is easy as its a teleflex unit that is still being made. Get with your dealer they can order the tach for you.

I guess the next question is what kind of modern Speedo would you have put in. I would like to do it myself but keep in mind I'm no "Norm Abrhams" How difficult would you consider this job on a scale of 1-10. 1=easy 10="don't even think about it"
