    lost fuel cap

My fuel cap for my 2008 206 is on the bottom of the lake. I haven't found a replacement on line through several inboard websites. I know I can't be the first person to have the fuel cap end up on the bottom of the lake. Anyone know how to get a replacement??? Thanks in advance.

Happened to me last year. Called my dealer and they got it for me... on the 3rd attempt. 1st 2 were the wrong size.

I dropped mine into 4 degree celcius water with no one around to zip up my drysuit for me... It was in about 25 ft of water, but I could see the bottom.
Turns out they are magnetic! It took a while, but I got it.

My cap was located in 20 plus ft of water. Only an air tank and some luck in some muck found the cap. It seems there are as many different caps as there are boats.....bottom line don't lose your cap. Thanks for all your help.

If I lost my cap, I'd get this keyless model: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...ID=1008&r=view
