Trying to decide on which model

The wife and I have decided to take the plunge and buy our first Nautique. We've narrowed the field down to four possible choices, having test drove one of the choices two weekends back and have scheduled to view/test the remianing choices this coming weekend.

    2006 SANTE w/ 112 hours
    2006 SV-211 TE w/ 150 hours
    2005 SANTE w/ 76 hours
    2003 226 w/ 166 hours

The first three boats are all within 1K of each other and outfitted basically the same, with the fourth boat being a decent amount less.

Predicated on the boats all being of equal interest/condition, we thinking we'll have a difficult decision. Has anyone gone from one of the above models to another, and if so, could you share your likes/dislikes?

RE: Trying to decide on which model

    Is the 2006 SANTE a 210 or 220?
I had 2006 SANTE 220 and LOVED IT - we got our with 250 hrs on it (was a demo and camp boat) and rode like a dream.
I have been in 2006 SV-211 - BUT a SANTE and 211 are way different boats....

You will get some great feedback from some other riders on this site. Good Luck & enjoy!

RE: Trying to decide on which model

What do you plan to do? Ski? Wakeboard? Surf? How much of each and how important is each? Do you have kids or will you be taking kids out? What do they like to do? Do you want it to double as a cruising boat for an afternoon on the lake or are you only interested in sports?

Forgot to put in the original that the SANTE's are both 210's. The 220's are out of our price range at this point.

As for how we'll use the boat. First off, it's just my wife and I and I'm sure we'll have a few friends out as well. A few friends have kids but most are grown so they wouldn't be tagging along.

Behind the boat I'll most likely wake/kneeboard and I'm really interested in learning to surf. The wife on the other hand would probably just 2 ski (on a rare occasion) or ride in a tube (on a rare occasion). She's perfectly content riding/driving the boat and just being on the water.

As far as crusiing around, we'll do a bit of that but with the idea of keeping the hours low it won't be a regular event.

Looks like an easy decision for the 211. Doesn't sound like you're a hard core enough wakeboarder to need what the 210 offers so the 211 would be good enough and if your wife wants to ski at all then she'll really want the 211, not the 210.
