I have just bought a Ski Nautique for the first time about a month ago. It is a 1995 Ski Nautique with the GT40. I recently added the Fly High Pylon and noticed the tower moving from side to side (not front to back) with heavier wake boarders. I went ahead and tightened the (4) nuts that attach the pylon to the boat. This reduced the movement, but did not eliminate it. The tower still moved to the left and right about 1 inch in each direction at the top of the 7' pole with heavier boarders. It moves enough you can actually see the bottom pylon attached to the boat moving too. Is there reason to be concerned with this?

The boat does not have a tower. I have the Fly High Wakeboard Pylon that is an add on to my Stock Pylon. This will make the pylon about 7ft tall and attach to the front of the boat with a strap for strength.Comment

I do not believe it is loose at the floor. I went below the floor where there are (2) U-Bolts with what looks like 1/2-13 threads and lock nuts. I have the nuts all tightened to as much as I could with a 1/2" Ratchet and Socket. But it still appears the pylon in the boat will move side to side with the extended pylon attached to it.Comment
