The changes we see so far for 05

The mirrior is a good Idea, But from the photos it looks a little straight, I think it would have looked better if it would have a little swoop/bend to it.

The tower speakers Look soild but are lacking some design (bling). IMO the clamps look un-refined. They kind of look the the speakers you see on e-bay with a one size fits all clamp. I would have liked to see a Boss style ball.


It looks like from the photos if that is a factory stereo they are using Polk Momo speakers you can see the interior speakers via the reflection in the mirrior.

What do you thik of the changes so far!

Correct Craft is installing Polk Momo speakers standard with any stereo installation and the RAC inputs with the 12v acc. plug also. Still using Clarion stereo and Clarion amps. The tower speakers have a 160w amp installed in addition to the standard amp with a Team boat.

Super Air's went back to the 03'/02' towers good move, 04 towers were ugly, IMHO.
Speakers now have grilles exposed as opposed to behind the mesh...not so good, now it's a little more intrusive into the upolstery and an invitation for fingers.
They went back to non allen head screw fittings.
Remote pod is now chromed instead of plastic.

I just found out that the all-around white light is now integrated into the tower. Good move, CC. I have always wondered why it wasn't like that to begin with.

I'm working on getting a picture of this feature.

The anchor light mounted on the tower can also be tilted down for towing, low clearance or when the tower is brought down. You can see this on the first picture (tilted) found on the home page (you may have to copy the picture to zoom in).

Some other changes:

1. There is also a Nautique plaque that is mounted on the glove box cover.
2. The pod where the remote is mounted is finished just as the pod for the electric start and controls (polished as opposed to light gray).
3. There are new graphics on the Excalibur engine. Same red engine cover though.
4. There seems to be a change on the engine's starboard hose, either on the fill riser to the exhaust manifold or to the water pump.

It appears the anchor lite is not integrated with the rope tow mount (like MC does it). Would that imply we could easily add one to an '04 or earlier tower? I agree the lite is a great move. You can't ride with the previous lite in the mounted position and rope off of the tower in the older boats. In our state the lite is required at sunset, but you can ride until an hour after. This would allow us to be legal.

The wineberry color is discontinued for 2005 and if I remember correctly, the gray has changed as far as the actual color goes. I think I remember being told that it would be darker.
