    Perfect Pass issue

Today I noticed that my boat was going way faster than what the perfect pass was showing. The boat was also pumping out a ton of water. I checked it out later and noticed that the paddle wheel was barely visible from the bottom of the boat. It had been pushed up through the hull. A piece of the thru hull fitting had been chipped and I could move the housing up and down. l pushed the rest of the housing down to where it should be and tightened up the thru hull fitting . It seems to be snug and back to normal but should I be concerned with a piece of the thru hull fitting chipped off at the top. It seems tight now and I couldnt move the housing up or down. Wouldnt the housing seal off any water coming in? I guess the only way to find out is to put it back in the water and see what happens. Any other ideas?

I believe the chipped off piece is supposed to be that way to keep the paddlewheel straight.

Has anyone else noticed the chipped off piece in the thru hull fitting? My dealer acted like it should not be chipped and he was going to contact perfect pass and get back to me.
When i screwed on the housing it felt like it went on just fine. I am just worried about water getting in.
