    Gas Guage problem

I'm looking for some friendly advice. My 2009 SN206 Team gas gauge has never been very accurate but is now totally unreliable. The tank is 29 gallons and while showing a 1/4 would only hold 7 gallons. Then after filling it totally the gauge registered empty, then moved to 1/2 and generally hovered around a 1/4.

Anyone have a similar experience and if so, was it the gauge, sending unit, or other defect(s)?

    Thanks in advance!

Mine was reading low when I turned on the blower, and not very accurate at others times. The shop told me the ground was not secure on the main harness. They did not show me where but you might just check that the connections are tight first?

      RE: Gas Guage problem

If it's a team or limited then it's getting it's power and signal feed via the canbus interface to the Gateway box at the stern of the boat. The gateway box gets the signal from the float sensor in the tank. Those boats also have notirously inadequate grounds and power wires in the harness. So it could be a faulty gauge or a bad ground. I've had gauges go bad. They are about $70 and take about 3 minutes to replace.
