Hairs are standing up on the back of my neck. Any one know the story behind this?

Link says it just ignited - it is a club boat and they figured it may have been a fuel line.

nobody hurt but the driver got no hair on his arms. the hole thing just exploded. bad fuel line probably. will never know.
Now the club needs a new boat.

ITs sad if they didnt have insurance. If they did its like ok lets go look at new boats!!! JK, That sucks.

That is sad but it brings me back to 1996 when I had a 1995 teal Nautique 196 that caught fire. The fire boat dumped tons and tons of water and still could not put it out until they foamed it.

Wild thing about the incident is the fire patrol could not believe it would not sink with holes all over the bottom and sides.

Thank goodness I had insurance. A week later I bought a brand new 1997 Ski Nautique 196 and all new gear. Unless you have seen a fiberglass fire up close and personal it is pretty scary.

Everytime I see something like this it scares the bejeebers out of me. Don't want to ever be in or near a boat going up like that.

He should have run that blower first.

AirTool, sometimes the blower doesn't help. Trust me I know first hand.

My comment was a joke stemming from a previous thread you might have missed.

That's what I'm thinking....maybe good for sucking out some fumes left over after pumpimg up a big carb then killing the engine. Any leak from a pressurized fuel injection system is going to be more than the blower can exchange.

I think today's blower is there mainly to make the Fed's happy.

The blower still scares the sht out of me.... I was 4 yrs old when our boat burnt to the water line (as per link) it's all good and bought a 97 ski nautique 3 weeks ago! I waited to long. (Currently running blower way to often and having fun  )

...and the glassy water with no riders just adds insult to injury. Watching your ride burn and not being able to hit that water....that is a bad day.
