FCT 1 diameter?

I have a first generation Flight Control Tower and I just got a Krypt board rack from Only Inboards, but the clamp is too big, it is a 1 and 7/8 clamp which is what I thought this tower is, but I guess not! Is this 1 and 3/4 or 1 and 5/8 ? I'm talking about the main tubing. Thanks alot in advance.

Measure it yourself if it'll make you feel better. If you do not have a caliper, then measure the circumference and use the following:

C = 2*pi*r

thanks for rolling your eyes, i measured it myself yesterday before posting- but i got a circumference of about 5.5 inches which worked out to be about 1 3/4, so just looking for an official published answer.

I don't think you'll find an "official" published answer, but the answer is 1 5/8". Do a search here, correctcraftfan, etc. and I'm sure that you'll find the same answer.

Yes, the vertical legs are 1-5/8" and the cross tubes are 1-3/8". Monster Tower sells a bushing kit that includes a 1-5/8" bushing. Their racks are top notch as well.
