We were at Lake Anna in Va last week
Nice lake flat calm all week
The kids and I wave all the time. It's part of the fun for the day
Funny thing the weakebaord boats in lake Anna never waved back
All the other boats waved most of them when we were wakeboarding would stop tubing until we were done
All had a great time us wakeboarding and the tubers
Great time would go back
You were at my lake! Should have given me a yell. I would have waved!

i guess that i just dont do the right thing. 99% of the time, if my boat is moving, then i have a rider in tow and i am focused on the vessel and the rider's safety. if i am not consumed w/ driving and navigating the pure wallydom in austin, then i am on the end of the long line and concerned w/ riding, or i am observing somebody else on the end of the long line.
at any rate, i go out of my way to not even acknowledge certain groups of people because i dont want them to think that i endorse power turns and tubing on the 7am butter. and yes, i know that we all have the same rights and access to the water, so save the flame.
i guess i am just rude, but i will save the social stuff for the war stories we tell on the dock. either that, or your lakes arent nearly as packed as ours, hahaha....
sv211sebago: I usually ride lake Anna every week or so. Its very rare that a boat full of wakeboarders will wave. I think it has something to do with them trying to be as "hard" as possible. I still haven't figured it out after 2+ years of riding there. Its mostly Northern VA and DC A-holes on that lake, they generally drive their boats like they drive their cars...horribly.
I would like take a trip to ski the Brazos this fall. Any advice on where to camp with full hook-ups and where to put in. What is the weather like there in late October?

cool air and cold water compared to regular Texas weather.
I used to hang with a group of dudes who thought they were super hard and didn't wave and smile. Then they ended up stealing a bunch of my stuff. We don't roll together anymore.
