Wakeboarding contest at Smith Lake this weekend (7-18)

There is going to be a INT wakeboarding/wake skate contest this weekend at Smith Lake Dam. Is anyone going? Anyone going just to watch? I was thinking about going to watch from the water on Saturday.

on site registration starts at 7:30, event starts at 9:00am. looks like its just saturday. July 18.

What? I live in Cullman and wakeboard on Smith and this is the first I have heard of it. How are the INT tournaments? Anything like the Spring2Summer? I might have to check it out.

wakeboard1, INT is nothing like Spring 2 Summer. INT is not nearly as fun IMHO. It has it's place I guess but doesn't really have the vibe of wakeboarding to me. I wasn't even aware there was still an AL INT League going. This is the first event I've heard of.

If your looking for a somewhat local wakeboard event to go to, Board Bonanza in Nashville, TN is going on this weekend. It is more of a party with some boarding thrown in, but a definately an event to attend to meet up with some great people. Not really a kid friendly atmosphere though, take the kids to INT, and the drinking buddies to Board Bonanza.

Actually I was wrong about the dates on Board Bonanza. It is July 24-26.

We had a great time watching the event this weekend there were a handfull of boats anchored up watching the event. It seems like good times were had by all.
