What are you using for locker ballast for 199x-2006 SAN/SS

Wow - short character limit for subject line! Had to trim that a bit.

I am wondering what people are using for belly ballast in their Super Sport and Super Air Nautiques (not the new style - the old style SAN hull).

I have an older Skylon bag and the thing bugs the **** out of me because it has the old style filler system & valves and is just a disaster waiting to happen. I need to upgrade to something with the quick fill system but nothing seems to fit - or at least doesn't appear to fit and occupy that entire space or at least as close to it as possible. Everything I've seen is either square, or too squat, or too large. I must be looking in the wrong places

What are you folks using for this purpose? I want to fill that locker to the brim with a modern bag. Can anyone provide some tips or suggestions, or information about their setup in the belly locker?

    Thank you,
    Erik

Most are using the rear seat sac from flyhigh but it could be longer. I have even heard of someone using the center Gravity Games sac 19x19x88" to fill it to the rim. It may seem way to big and square, but if you think about it:

    rear seat sac 60x12x26"
    Height 12+12+Length 26+26=76"

    Gravity Games center sac 88x19x19"
    Height 19+19+Length 19+19=76"

Only the ends are going to "squish" a bit and shape should not be an issue since you can't fill either to capacity. However, the cost of the GG sac is probably close to what you would pay for a custom sac.

I am using the gravity games bag mentioned above. It will definately fill the whole locker and then some. I actually force my locker door partially open if I just let it run out the vent. Full it weighs 1180lbs according to the flyhigh website and I guess that I get close to 1000lbs in it. Probably a little less but its plenty.

Man. I just use a puny little 400lb bag. Maybe it is bigger like 500-550, don't remember. I leave it full all year on the lift and trailering on that rare occasion.

I was going to get the GG sac but a custom sac was not that much more. I measured it out and I think the sac I ordered was 78"L x 27"W x 12"H. It makes a big difference having all that water in the ski locker. I run 750's in the back and the integrated bow sac as well. Before I had that sac made I was using a similar sac to what you are running in there and I would barely get on plane with the integrated sac on top of the seats full. Now I have no problem getting on plane with the integrated bow sac under the seats and it only gets about half full.

I just put in the Fly High rear seat sac on my 99 SSN. I have it pushed all the way to the front of the locker. It leaves about 12 inches between the end of the sac and the divider that separates the locker from the fuel cell compartment. The bag is 60 x 26 x 10 weight: 650 lbs. and fills the entire locker and will even push my locker door open if I let it. I can measure the bag and it definitely expands beyond the listed dimensions.

I like the small space left at the stern of the bag since it gives me a little area for extra beer storage.
