    Surf Wake 2000 SAN

Hi all hoping for a little advise. Has anyone managed to get a decent surf wake on the port side? We are playing with the surf wake on the starboard side and have it sorted enough to have agood time. Ballast in the boat is factory rear plus 2 x pro x side sacs and an integrated pro x bow sac. Any help would be great. Anyone else set up there 00 or 01 SAN for surfing? Thanks

I have a 2002 SAN and found that filling the center ballast and leaving the rear 2 empty works better. Depending on which side the surfer prefers depends on where my live weight sits (people). 3 adults on the corners plus the center ballast and around 10 MPH does it for my boat.

Thief, you are leaving some on the table with your setup. You can get an enormous wake on that boat if you try. It may be adequate, but what you have would leave a lot to be desired.

I guess I dont know what you mean by on the table. I would like to get a larger wake but I really just started experimenting myself, what do you mean?

            Thanks,

            Greg

              Greg,

I meant you have a lot of room for improvement. Just an expression I was using. Was not a slam at all, hope you weren't taking it that way.

I listed my weight setup on this thread:

              http://www.planetnautique.com/index.php ... mp;t=15067

I run upwards of 2000lbs. for my surf setup and have a huge long wake to ride on. Play around a little bit with some of these ideas and you will be very surprised at the wake you will have.

              Surf is UP.

Thanks, didnt think of it as a slam at all. I do need to try some new stuff, I didnt think of adding bow weight but now that I think of it, it makes sense. I'll give it a shot.
