    Correct Craft and Wetsounds

Hear me Hear me or hear us hear us. Please work a deal with Wetsounds. Tig-ee has a deal with them. I have been speaking with them on a new systems and frankly with all that I have learned you could put a killer system in OUR boats and only be about a 800.00 additional costs to the consumer. That thinking is you negotiating a back end deal with them and being reasonable to the consumer. HAHAHA

Also we need to have a Isolator switch instead of the battery switch. 800Amp Alternators would help too.

I would put there 6 ½ Speakers (6). I couple options on the tower speakers, Maybe a pair of 80’s Standard. (1) XS-12 Sub (2) 4 channel Amps.

I won’t call out you PN reading correct craft people, but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    RE: Correct Craft and Wetsounds

Seriously, based on what CC charges for the current system, do you really think that they will only charge an additional $800 for a full Wetsounds system....I highly doubt it. Also, given the wiring that we've all seen comes from the factory, I would much rather do the install myself, correctly. And an 800 amp alternator? You would only need that if you had an extreme audio system.....I would think that most reasonable systems would be fine with multiple batteries, a combiner and a 200 amp alternator. Just my opinion of course.

      RE: Correct Craft and Wetsounds

I think it would be a great option!!! Even if it's more than an additional $800 on a current CC stereo/amp/sub/speaker option, let the consumer decide. CC SHOULD get a significantly better price than the average consumer as they would be purchasing in bulk which in turn should save the consumer money from doing it themselves.

And in talking about CC's current standards for installing the sound system, it would be covered under warranty so it would be their responsibility to make it right. If it falters, they're fixing it at their expense.

World class boat + world class Wetsounds sound system = AWESOME!!!

Why should Tige be the one who gets the quality sound system? I understand that they NEED it, but we WANT it.

        RE: Correct Craft and Wetsounds

It sounds like a great idea on paper, but I don't think it would sell, due to price. To have a complete install done correctly would cost the customer $6 mil. and one first-born. Right now WetSounds has a deal with their dealers and wakeside.com to sell their speakers at a set identical price--no discounts anywhere. Anybody who would opt for the WetSounds upgrade through CC would probably upgrade for themselves as aftermarket if it weren't an option. So where's the money for WetSounds? They could give CC a discount for buying in bulk, but everyone that would buy them would probably buy them anyway at full price. That's just my opinion, I'm not in the industry though.

You're right, people who want the WS are going to get it, regardless of who is selling it. CC's profit margin on the current stereo upgrade is huge. If they switch to WS, they will have to raise the price of the upgrade tremendously to make that same margin. I think they know they can't charge the consumer an extra $4k for a nice stereo, unless of course WS gave them wholesale prices.

I am not sure about most dealers, but my local correct craft dealer is a wetsounds dealer. When he orders a boat for a customer that wants a WS system he just deletes the tower system at the factory and then installs a WS system at his shop. It works out better for customer that way price wise.

I have been saying that a Wetsounds/Nautique collaboration was a good idea for a couple of years now. I have mentioned it in the past to the guys at the factory. Hopefully one day it will happen.

That would be great! I think that there should be some room in there for a wetsounds upgrade, at least. Having a couple different options would be pretty cool. Jeff - Didn't I post that in the ask Bill Yeargin thing during the interview you did with him and didn't you ask him this same thing?

first of all, CC, along with mc(b/c the system was setup wrong in that boat) need to hire a stereo install specific guy, not someone with very little knowledge who is lazy i.e. hanging crossovers in many boats. secondly, if they could do a pro install i think many folks would shell out the extra cash for wet sounds complete systems including the 420 molded into the dash. start small and just use the 420. and see how that works. not to mention the guys at wet sounds are great to deal with in any aspect.
-I personally hate my friends identical boat. he has the stock amp running the in boats and sub. i have the stock amp and a 2 ch. and a sub amp running my in boats and xs-12/ and 420. even our friends give him **** about wanting to be in my boat.
