2 or 3 Ballast Tanks on 06 SV 211 Special Edition?

Anybody know if the Special Edition on an 06 SV 211 only has port and starboard rear ballast with no belly ballast? Do you need the Team Edition to get all 3?

The boat in question only has two ballast gauges and two pumps in the engine compartment. Would you normally be able to see a tank with the belly compartment door off? There's a switch for all three, but I'm assuming that's just how the controls come. The seller is under the impression there are 3 tanks, but I'm thinking not unless the belly doesn't have a gauge and the pump is somewhere I can't see.

If there is no belly ballast, how hard is this to add as fixed internal ballast, not an external fat sac?

There is no Special Edition. Only Standard, Limited, or Team.

Yes, understood, it is of course a Limited Edition SV 211, I have no idea why I typed Special Edition through each of my posts other than the fact that it was very late and I'm spending way to much time thinking about boats. I know there are only 3 options packages.

So, do you know the answer to the question?

CCF has brochures listing the options http://www.correctcraftfan.com/refer...ex.asp?page=46 Next time you look at the boat, open up the ski locker (center line of boat near the helm). The "Belly" tank would be visible in this compartment. The port and starboard tanks would be in the rear lockers ubder the carpeted floor board. At the helm, you should see fill/empty buttons on the control panel.

frozone, I have the same boat that you are refering to and it has all three tanks. The Belly tank is "U" shaped so that it runs dirictly behind the ski locker and up both sides..

Wilds, when you say you have the same boat, do you have an 06 Limited Edition?

If this is the boat you have, does it only have 2 gauges (port and starboard) and does it only have 2 pumps in the engine compartment?

There are 3 fill buttons and the lights work on the belly ballast button so it seems strange that it would be wired but no ballast tank there.

Where would the pump for the belly ballast be if not in the engine compartment?

If the pump is there it may be behind the circuit breaker panel under the dash. That is where the belly pump is on my 06 Team Edition.

I have an 07 Limited and I have three tanks but it could be ordered with two or three tanks. I would say two pumps two tanks

I believe it depends on the boat options on the SE and LE boats. Only the TE boat has the tanks standard. I am pretty sure I have seen a LE boat with NO ballast tanks.

If you saw only two pumps and only two gauges chances are quite high there is no belly ballast.

If you have no belly ballast you can add a pillow sack in that compartment fairly easily. If you want to add the U tank you will need to pull the gas tank to get the U tank in, it won't be that easy to do but I think you can do it without pulling the V-drive unit.

If my boat didn't already have the belly I doubt I would add it. I would use pop bags or a pillow sack. The U tank only holds about 300lbs. A pillow sack should be capable of holding about double that. If you are into surfing, the pillow tank would be a better option.

Looking at the 2006 Brochure that HS linked to up above, ballast is an option on the LE, which already know, but it shows in parenthesis, (3). It doesn't seem that there was an option for 2, according to the brochure it's none or 3. I'll look into this more tomorrow, I need another look at this boat anyway for some other questions I have.
