Was wondering how come I get so much water in my boat got a 2002 sante. Was boarding today and boat wouldn't get on plane had to stop and bilge out boat for a good five minutes had to do this several times. Where could all this water come from?also my blower quite working could this be caused by all the water?

RE: Water in boat
Run the boat for a good while without filling up your ballast. If you don't have any water in the bilge you will have your answer. If you do have water in there I would check all of your clamps and make sure they are tight. My guess would be ballast.
As far as the blower, may or may not be from water. Did you check to see it you popped a breaker under the steering wheel

a) turn when you slowdown. rollers over your boat can easilly fill your boat.
b) check your sacks/plumbing..etc
c) check you raw water intake pipes.
d) check your exhaust
e) check every other hole.(perfect pass, ballast intake..etc)
f) check your packing nut.
g) if all else fails, look for a hole

Check to see if it has been caulked between deck and hull (under rub rail) especially at the transom. My 2006 leaked here because Correct Craft did not caulk this area. Lots of ballast pushes transom lower and water rushes in at the hull/deck joint, especially when stopping.

On my other boat I had a similar problem (not quite as bad as yours, but not good). My problem was that the hose clamps on the exhaust in the bilge had worked a little loose and were letting water in through the tail. Now

my fav story was of a good farmer here in Arkansas trying to find out why his Tristar 220 was leaking . . . that he backed it up to his 1" well and proceeded to fill the boat with water to see "where in the Heck" the water was coming in. . . had to replace the starter and the boat really never did completely dry out and he did not find his leak either BUT after he took it to the dealer they siliconed the joint where the top deck is fastened to the bottom. . .

Could be. When I took my pontoon boat in for winterizing 3 years ago, when the marina tried to summerize it they could not get it started. They then took off the cover and worked on it a bit, without success. They left the cover off. For 2 years the marina left it like that (i.e., apart) as (1) we did not need that boat and (2) they could not get it to start. When I finally did need that boat, I took it to another marina. They found dirt dobbers and their nests throughout the entire engine. They had to take apart basically the entire engine and put it back together. About a month later I got a $2800 bill. The boat finally worked, notwithstanding that I told them not to go into 4 figures. and notwithstanding that the entire 1980 pontoon boat was barely worth that. I'm still irked about this... can you tell? So anyway, dirt dobbers can be a big problem. Hopefully if you have them, they are just in the blower. That is a cheap and easy fix.Now

Took the boat out for a real easy cruise. No water with ballast empty. Filled ballast but found no leaks. No water in sight on bottom of boat. Emptied boat of ballast and cruise around lake. Trailer boat and turn on bilge and get alot of water. Could my bilge be emptying the rest of my ballast or does it work that way?
