my ski nautique wont start !!!!

My 2002 Ski Nautique has been stored for a couple years while Ive been working overseas.
Now it wont start. I changed the batery but I think its lost the primary user code ?? and I dont have the Master embedded code.
Any thoughts ??

Any dealer can provide you with the code based off of the hull ID. Call White Lake. I bet they'll help you out.

What prevents someone from stealing a boat and calling cc and getting a master code? Just curious.

That was my thought. I figured that CC or the dealer would have this covered somehow. That said, I think it is pretty easy to hotwire a boat. Might make it a little harder to sell when the buyer wants a test drive and you have to hotwire it in front of him, but...

I guess seeing I have the title etc I can prove ownership of the boat to the CC dealer.

Anyway maybe its not the primary user code I dont know, but when I enter the code and press start I hear the solenoids clicking but the engine doesnt crank. all the fuses and breakers are OK

Solenoids clicking is usually a dead battery or corroded terminals/connections. After pressing the keypad code the first time does the light on the right come on? If so its not the code. I would hook up a jumper pack and see if it turns over. Once again if the solenoids go click its probably not the code

Step one. Clean your battery terminals.

Check for 12 volts at the large red at the starter. It should be there all the time. Then check if you have 12 volts on that wire, when you are trying to crank the starter.

Just to be clear, are we talking about a no crank problem, or a cranks, no start condition?

If you have a no crank condition, and 12 volts at the large red wire on the starter, do this:
Remove the small yellow wire from the spade terminal on the starter, and jump that terminal to the large red wire on the starter, and see if the engine cranks.
Do not let the engine start without supplying cooling water to the raw water pump.
Pulling the safety lanyard by the driver will kill the engine.
You can crank the engine with the safety lanyard pulled, and it will start, and run as long as the start button is held.
If the engine cranks by jumping to the spade terminal on the starter, from the large red wire, a good possibility is the large round relay that has battery cables attached to it, on the plate on the back of the motor, is defective.
